Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle website 'Goop' regularly cops schtick for being a little, shall we say, out of touch.
However with the Oscar-winning actress at the helm, we can't help but wonder what it would be like to work for the woman who famously said "I’d rather smoke crack than eat cheese from a tin".
Well, wonder no more because Racked spent a day at Goop HQ, the California barn owned by Ms. Paltrow herself where a dozen of her LA-based team work (she also has staff in New York and London).
The 'office' (if you can call it that) is just what you'd expect, no fluorescent lighting or harsh air-conditioning in sight, but rather “soaring ceilings and rustic wood floors” that are “nestled among blooming hydrangea bushes.”

The location welcomes “soft breeze[s] blowing through a Los Angeles canyon” - so much so Goop staffers often bask in the gloriousness of their location by “moving their work outside.”
So the office is pretty sweet - oh and did we mention "the whole place smells like essential oils..."?
Right, we get it. But what about the boss?

Elise Loehnen, Goop's editorial director reveals that staffers feel so warmly about their boss that they affectionately refer to Paltrow as “GP.”
"Everything is pretty much signed off by GP," Loehnen says.
"She's not repackaging stories or doing any heavy lifting, but we're recipe-testing in her kitchen, going over the issue on Tuesdays." Paltrow also gives her final approval before the massively popular Goop newsletter is sent out each week.
"The brand is inextricably tied to her, but I think that she can't wait for the day when people will associate Goop with other people."
