Just days ago, we saw Anne Hathaway take down the house on the Jimmy Fallon show as she lip synced to Miley Cyrus’s ‘Wrecking Ball’.
The Devil Wears Prada star recreated the singer’s video clip look with long white nails, slicked back hair and matching singlet and white briefs – much to the disbelief of her former co-star, Emily Blunt.
Now, the stars’ lip syncing rivalry has been revealed, with Blunt, who is set to channel Janis Joplin, admitting she stalked Hathaway to see what she had planned for the segment.
“I called her once and she just picked up and went, 'Shh!' finally she called me and she said, 'OK, listen. I'm doing Beethoven's Fifth,' and I went, 'There aren't any words in that!' And she hung up," Blunt said.
Spurred into action, Blunt decided to get into her Janis Joplin character by method acting.
"I've been super method about it. I've been screaming at everybody pretty much all day because I don't want a voice," she said in mock seriousness. "And I guarantee that Anne Hathaway is in full voice right now. Anne has a very, very secretive process."
We officially can’t wait to see Blunt’s takedown of Hathaway in the upcoming episode.
