We're talking, of course, about Fifty Shades Of Grey - erotic romance trilogy that started out as Twilight fan fiction, but then snowballed into one of the fastest-selling book series of all time (prompting a spike in sex toy sales along the way). Frankly, there will be no escaping its dominance (pun very much intendend) as it makes its film debut today.

Dakota Johnson (daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson) takes on her first lead role as college virgin Anastasia Steele opposite Irish actor Jamie Dornan, who plays Christian Grey, the deeply troubled, enigmatic millionaire with a penchant for bondage. Rita Ora (yes, you read that right, the singer) and Marcia Gay Harden round out the cast.
Will it be a hit? Perhaps. Photographer-turned-director Sam Taylor-Johnson (of Nowhere Boy acclaim) is at the helm. One thing's certain though. You'll need to strap yourself in for the kinky ride. Preferably with leather.
