Beyonce dressed up as Rosie the Riveter – the famous World War II feminist icon – overnight, showing that girls truly do run the world. More than one million fans have liked the picture posted on Queen B's Instagram, and there are over 16,000 comments on the image.
Rosie the Riveter was an American cultural icon who appeared on countless posters and sign, and became a symbol of all the American women who took up the war burden in the workforce during World War II. Beyonce's flawless ode to Rosie – complete with bandana head scarf and rolled-up denim shirt – was accompanied by a slogan backdrop proclaiming 'We Can Do It!' We didn't think we could love Beyonce more, but after seeing this picture the only thing we can say is 'Yes we can!'
