Is there anything Cara Delevingne can't do? After shooting to fame as a supermodel, the 21-year old can now add acting to her long list of accolades.

Delevingne stars as the girlfriend of a soldier serving in Afghanistan in the made for TV movie, Playhouse Presents: Timeless, and she's actually quite convincing.

It seems her co-star, 80-year old Sylvia Syms, agrees, because the acclaimed actor heaped praise on her much younger colleague, likening her to Audrey Hepburn.

"I worked years ago with a beautiful girl who became very famous," the 80-year-old actress told the Evening Standard. "This child here has the same quality which is known as not acting for the camera. She is real and an absolute joy to work with. I was told I was going to work with a model and I had never heard of her but I literally fell in love with her on the first day. The other girl I loved was Audrey Hepburn."

The feeling is clearly mutual as Delevinge heaped praise on Syms in a recent Instagram post. "Thank you skyarts and everyone involved in making Timeless," she wrote. "I am so lucky to have worked with this woman and be able to call her my friend, she has taught me so much!"

Delevingne has been trying to get her acting career off the ground for a while – the supermodel made a cameo in 2012’s Anna Karenina, but has stayed out of the movie limelight since.

With the sort of praise she’s been receiving though, it seems it may only be a matter of time before Delevingne retires from the runway and takes up permanent residence in front of the cameras.
