Yahoo Lifestyle North West Gave Kim Kardashian A Hand-Drawn Birkin Bag

You may remember that Kanye West famously gave Kim Kardashian a hand-painted Hermes Birkin for Christmas last year, which she proudly showed off on Instagram, much to the dismay of some of her followers.

Apparently Kanye didn't think one was enough though, because Kim also had the pleasure of receiving yet another hand-drawn Birkin - this time, crafted by her daughter North.
"Kanye had a box [with an Hermes purse in it] and I opened it up and it was all painted really cool and on my computer was this message that said 'Play' and it was a video of my daughter sitting outside painting the purse," Kim revealed to Us Weekly. "I had thought it was this new artist who had painted this purse [but] it was my daughter. It was amazing."
Considering North is at an age when most parents are taking the crayolas off their kids, it seems no expense will be spared for Kim and Kanye's tiny tot - until she has to get a job, that is.
While North currently boasts her own stylist and has been showered with luxury gifts since she was born, Kim Kardashian says her daughter will be on her own in the money stakes once she reaches her teens.
"I was saying that earlier to my friends, 'I wonder what [North's] first job is gonna be.' And they were like, 'What? She's gonna have a job?' and I was like, 'Are you kidding me? Of course she is'. She will have to work for what she wants," Kardashian explained.
The reality TV star, who is worth millions thanks to various brand endorsements, says she learnt the importance of saving from a young age, and wanted to instill the same value in North West.
"I saved up for this Dolce & Gabbana dress I really wanted, or like in high school these Prada shoes that my parents wouldn't buy me," Kardashian said. "I remember they were $400, and I had to save for the entire year to get them. We didn't get anything [from her parents], we had to get a job if we wanted it. So I was working in a clothing store and I would save and save."
