What's the inspiration behind your spring/summer collection?
MERMAIDS EXIST as above, so below. A sea of luminous dreams, inhabited by mermaids and ruled by supernatural events. The Ernst Heinkel illustrations of Radiolarians gave shape to life. A divine spark buried in the darkness of matter.
In your opinion, what are some of the big trends we can expect to see on the catwalk at MBFWA?
Homage to the fairy-tale. Dreamy and poetic silhouettes made of delicate fabrics. In particular the cape! A cocoon which echoes the fairy-tale trend.
Athletic styling will be used to accent distinctively feminine pieces. As for the palette, there will be deep jewel tones that are anchored by traditional colours. And maybe a dash of sparkle!
How important is social media to you during fashion week, ie, will you be glued to twitter and instagram?
Social media is an important platform because it is so immediate, informative, curious and accessible.
It’s about connecting or creating a community of like-minded individuals.
What are you most looking forward to at fashion week this year?
I’m looking forward to being surprised and to finally be seeing the collection come to life in the immersive experience of a presentation.
What will you be doing after fashion week wraps?
Going to the beach is always good for the spirit and catching up with friends!
