Blake Lively might be on top of the world - after announcing her pregnancy and sharing her backyard baby shower pictures on her website Preserve - but her digital undertaking is facing criticism over it's latest offering.

A photo-shoot on the site entitled "Allure of the Antebellum" has come under fire for allegedly romanticising the slave-owning period of American history before the civil war. As gossip website Gawker joked, "the hottest lifestyle for fall is the lifestyle of owning human beings without government interference".

Preserve is also facing an allegation of plagiarism, after an online commenter noticed similarities between the story that accompanies the controversial photo shoot and a piece on Southern belles that appeared on Examiner.com.
