If you think you've witnessed some scary sample sales, nothing quite takes the cake like this one.

Late last month, fashion designer Alexander Wang invited curious fans to a secret event in New York, where they lined up for hours in the street to find out what all the fuss was about.

They were then invited inside a warehouse where Wang excitedly revealed they were actually at a free-for-all sale.

What ensues is absolute chaos, with fans screaming and jumping up and down as they process the information - free Alexander Wang clothes! But the real madness starts when people spot the apparel - fists fly, clothes are ripped and people are wrestled to the ground as they fight over the goods.

Ergo, it's a sample sale that only the brave few could endure.

Wang has since released a statement about the event, saying he liked the idea of creating a destination that was unknown, mysterious, and fun, where people can connect.

“I love reaching out directly to our audience; to have a dialog that provokes and at the same time has a sense of wit and irony,” Wang added. “Nothing is formulaic with T. This project was viral and street at the same time, which allowed us not only to communicate with our audience through different avenues, but to activate them.”

Footage of the event was filmed by Darren Stein, who directed the cult hit Jawbreaker.

"Apparently the final scene, where enraged prom-goers throw things at Rose McGowan and her tiara slips, is a favorite of Wang’s, and it served as the inspiration for the video," said fashionista.com.
