World’s First $1 Million Perfume Launched
DKNY has teamed up with celebrity jeweller Martin Katz to launch the world's first $1 million perfume bottle.
Unveiled by supermodel Chanel Iman yesterday, the elaborate bottle is encrusted with diamonds and rare gemstones, and reportedly took 1,500 hours to make.
Adorned with 2,700 round brilliant white diamonds and weighing 15.17 carats, the trademark apple-shaped DKNY bottle is made from yellow and white gold, and reportedly features 2,700 round white diamonds weighing 15.17 carats.
"The Manhattan skyline is scarved on the side of the bottle, shaped out of 183 golden yellow sapphires, which are set into top quality white gold, while the cap is embellished with a 2.43 carat flawless vivid yellow canary diamond," reported the Daily Mail, who added that for the $1 million pricetag, "you could get a house, 10 Rolls-Royces or 20 thousand bottles of Chanel no 5."
But while the pricetag might seem exorbitant, the generous buyer can rest assured that all proceeds will be going go to Action Against Hunger, an international humanitarian charity.
The $1 million perfume is set to go on exhibition around the world before being sold on DKNY's Facebook page.
