March's New Moon and Partial Solar Eclipse Brings Destined New Romances for 2 Zodiac Signs

St. Patrick's Day may have passed, but you're still in luck!

A new moon arrives on Saturday, March 29, 2025, doubling as a partial solar eclipse and supermoon when it rises at 3:58 a.m.

The lunation will be visible in various locations with slight visibility across sections of North America, Europe, Africa, northern Asia, small parts of South America, Greenland, Iceland and the Atlantic and Arctic Oceans, per NASA.

Sky gazers in the path of the partial solar eclipse will likely see a crescent shape when looking at the sun as the moon passes between the star and Earth, in contrast to a total solar eclipse which aligns the three celestial bodies completely.

In addition to its astrological significance, the lunation — which marks the first solar eclipse of the year — also boasts astronomical meaning, rising in Aries at 9 degrees. It's the last eclipse to take place in this zodiac sign until October 2032.

"The solar eclipse will bring a surge of excitement and passion to our lives," celebrity astrologer Kyle Thomas tells PEOPLE exclusively, noting that we will feel its effects in the weeks before and after its peak. "We will be inspired to take the leap and move in a new direction," he adds.

Many of the characteristics used to describe Aries will be reflected within us during this time. "Its energy is bold, passionate and adventurous, allowing us to assert our egos and pursue our innermost desires," says Thomas. "Envision what you'd like to tackle in the year to come!"

Aries (March 20-April 19)

Relax, Taurus. "The solar eclipse may give you the chance to improve your overall health," says Thomas.

"If you’ve been dealing with chronic fatigue or stress, you may now find a way to put that in your past," he puts forth. "Reflect on where you’ve been and brainstorm ways you’d like to release baggage, anxiety or anything else that is just weighing you down."

Gemini (May 20-June 20)

Your dreams may manifest before your eyes, Gemini! "This could be all about reaching a whole new level of joy and fulfillment," Thomas makes known.

"The partial solar eclipse will energize your social circle and you may now cross paths with a platonic soulmate, someone who enters your life and changes it forever," he says. "Don’t be afraid to network, socialize and share your spirit with those who value you."

Cancer (June 20-July 22)

Career on the mind, Cancer? "The solar eclipse will blast open a doorway to professional achievement, public recognition and success," predicts Thomas.

"An award, promotion or favorable press may suddenly grant you greater heights and glory," he says. "You may also realize that your current professional lane isn’t quite fulfilling you as it once did and prompts you to embark on a new one."

He adds, "Start to move in that newfound direction."

Leo (July 22-Aug. 22)

"Some may physically travel to explore new cultures or spiritualities. Relocation is also possible for some of you near this time," he says. "Others may instead realize it’s time to head back to school and further their education."

Virgo (Aug. 22-Sept. 22)

Open up, Virgo. "With the solar eclipse highlighting your sector of intimacy, you’ll be focused on where you stand with a significant other," predicts Thomas.

"If you’ve been in need of voicing your desires to your partner, now is a good moment to do so," he continues. "However, this lunation may instead focus you intensely on financial matters, especially in regards to a payout, settlement or investment that is finally ready to arrive."

Libra (Sept. 22-Oct. 22)

Partner up, Libra! "You could be making a long-term commitment personally or professionally as the solar eclipse represents a destined new beginning," says Thomas.

"Finding balance in your relationships could soon be here. Some may realize it’s time to move in, get engaged or tie the knot," he continues. "Singles can enjoy this vibe, too, by putting themselves out there to find someone with LTR potential."

Scorpio (Oct. 22-Nov. 21)
