Marc Jacobs Intern Calls CEO A 'Tyrant' On Twitter
A Marc Jacobs intern had a public breakdown on the company's Twitter account (@MarcJacobsIntl) over the weekend, calling CEO Robert Duffy "a tyrant".
The first tweet appeared on the company's account at 11pm on Friday, reading, "You guys and gals have no idea how difficult Robert is. I am only an intern. My last day is tomorrow. I wouldn't be tweeting this if not!"
Realising that the public defamation could mean the end of his fashion career, the intern tweeted, "I can call him out! I'm out! Won't work in this town again! I know that! Learned a lot. But, I don't have the energy for what is expected!"
The intern ended his rant by saying he was "praying" for whoever got the job of updating Jacobs' 150,000 Twitter followers.
"Good luck! I pray for you all. If you get the job! I'm out of here. See ya! Don't want to be ya! Robert's a tyrant! Seriously! He is tough!"
The postings were reportedly removed at 4am Saturday morning.
Although the company declined to comment, it posted on the account, "All is well here at MJ. Twitter is a crazy place. Protect your passwords."
