Violent MAFS catfight between Cyrell and Martha forces crew to intervene
The drama on Married At First Sight is about to be taken up a notch if the latest preview is anything to go by.
The teaser clip that aired at the end of Monday night’s episode shows a heated disagreement between Cyrell and Martha take a violent turn.
Cyrell is seen storming into Martha’s apartment before a crew member intervenes when things get physical, and from what the promo tells us so far, the tiff begins because of a certain rumour.
“Another rumour, but I’m involved this time,” Cyrell’s husband Nic is heard saying, before footage jumps to Cyrell entering Martha and Michael’s apartment.
“I genuinely don’t like you,” Cyrell tells Martha, who with a dressing robe and face mask on, probably wasn’t expecting visitors.
As Martha stands up and responds to Cyrell, both women get louder before Cyrell grabs Martha’s robe and aggressively tugs.
At this point a male crew member steps in to stop the fight, before we see Cyrell being escorted out of the apartment.
“Get out of here. Have some respect,” says Martha’s husband, Michael.
The next scene shows John Aiken in Nic and Cyrell’s apartment for an emergency counselling session, during which the show’s expert tells Cyrell, “You can disagree with people but you cannot get that aggressive”.
As has been the case between Cyrell and Nic in the past, a big blow-up often leads to Cyrell threatening to leave the social experiment.
It appears she tries to do the same once again, as she’s seen packing her bags while Nic asks, “Why am I copping this now?”
“Don’t ever sit there and say you’ve got my back. You’ve never had my back,” she tells him.
“So you’re packing up now because of someone else?” Nic then asks.
The last moment we see is Cyrell wheeling out her luggage, which begs the question, does she leave MAFS for good?
Married At First Sight continues at 7:30pm on Channel Nine.
