MAFS star Brent Vitiello reveals why he was forced to watch show: 'We had to'

Married At First Sight star Brent Vitiello has revealed why the show's cast was forced to watch the series as it aired on TV.

Speaking during a live Q&A on TikTok, the MAFS season nine star was asked if they did watch themselves back on TV.

Addressing the question, Brent said they had to for "homework".

"Guys, we did watch ourselves back on TV," he said.

"We also had to because we have live interviews the next morning after every live episode, so we kind of had to do it for homework so we could answer the questions and talk back and there's a lot of things that we don't see.

"And yeah, so we kind of had to."

Brent's on-screen relationship with Tamara Djordjevic came to a brutal end when he called her "vindictive, spiteful and self-absorbed" during their final vows.

Before dramatically dropping his speech cards, he said, "good luck and good riddance" and stormed off.

"I’ll be honest, I planned to drop the cards. I’d had enough and I was ready to walk away and make a statement that she needed to understand," he revealed to The Handbags podcast last month.

After splitting with Tamara, who is rumoured to be dating co-star Mitch Eynaud, viewers began championing a relationship between Brent and Mitch's 'ex-wife' Ella Ding.

The pair went on a romantic getaway to Queensland at the beginning of the month and revealed to Nova's Fitzy & Wippa that they had shared a kiss.

When Fitzy asked whether team "Brella" was official, Ella said that friendship first was important, and they were getting to know each other on a deeper level.

"So are you together or not?" Fitzy probed on air.

"No... We're not making anything official," Brent answered.

"I mean, I think that's where it creates, you know tension and pressure. I think if it's going to be official, it'll just happen on its own organically."
