The bizarre text Sam sent Elizabeth after the MAFS scandal

He lied and cheated his way through Married At First Sight but instead of apologising to his on-screen wife, Elizabeth, in person, Sam Ball decided to do it over text.

The 26-year-old was having an affair with Ines Basic for just about his whole time on the show, with the whole thing coming to a head on last night’s explosive episode.

Sam dumped Ines and outed her as ‘clingy’, saying if he could do the whole experiment again, he would have never met up with her in the first place.

However, his wife, Elizabeth, was left searching for answers. And after receiving a text from Sam straight after the show (spelling her name wrong), she said she’s still scratching her head over the whole situation.

Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli read out Sam’s message on air this morning, as Elizabeth appeared on Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa show.

“I didn’t mean to bother you, but I just wanted to touch base and see how your going. I want to be straight up. I’m sorry for my actions on the show. It was wrong and I’m disgusted at the way that I acted and how I behaved,” the message read.

“I feel sorry for anything that I said that may have offended you and how I hurt you and also hate how you’ve been portrayed through the editing.

“Taking part in the show has taken a huge toll on my life as I’m sure it has on yours and I hope you’re doing okay. You’re beautiful and strong and amazing.”

Interestingly, Lizzie said she’s also receive a text from Ines since leaving the show, but she’s chosen not to open it yet.

Last night, Sam exposed Ines’ string of texts to him on air.

“After the dinner party I got all these messages basically saying she wants to leave the experiment … (Saying she) hasn’t wanted to be with someone so badly in her life,” he said, reading out her messages.

“Calling me ‘bub’ all the time and saying, ‘Can I come home with you, I don’t wanna be without you’ … That she’d live in a bin as long as she was with me.

‘I’m horny. Bub I wanna see you. Where are you staying, I wanna come over’.

“I’ve got her just clinging, wanting to do everything … Having just met a girl who’s saying I’ll die if I’m not with you is pretty full on. That sorta stuff scared me a lot. Ines needs someone who’s going to be very clingy and obsessed with her. I think Ines has fallen for me and I’m not sure if I’ve fallen for Ines.”

Ines just smiled through the whole thing, making Cyrell scream out asking her, ‘Why the f*ck are you laughing?’.
