MAFS' Domenica Calarco recently underwent a major transformation for the World's Greatest Shave, but the former reality star has taken things even further this week. Sharing a video during her travels in Italy, Dom revealed that she decided her hair wasn't short enough, and she wanted to go for a pixie cut.

"I've just come back from the beach, I've decided I want to cut my hair shorter, I want to look like Aubrey Hepburn in Italy, in Roman Holiday," she told her followers. "So, this could either turn out really bad, or it can turn out really good."

The podcaster added that the only place that was open was a barber, so she was nervous about the outcome.

Dom shared a video from the haircut and then showed off the final product, with fans raving over her new look.

"You look fantastic! Short hair don’t care!" another said.

"Love it, shows off your natural beauty. Keep it short. It suits you," one person added.

Others wrote that Dom looked "confident" and "happy" after recently leaving a mental health retreat following backlash for having MAFS star Jack Dunkley on the podcast she shares with Ella Ding, Sit With Us.

Dom and Ella were slammed on social media for allowing Jack on their podcast and “dismissing” his controversial and “misogynistic” remarks about the women on MAFS.

Abbie Chatfield called the girls out, saying the interview made her "feel sick", urging them to take it out down, apologise and “educate yourselves on the inner workings on patriarchy” – leading to an onslaught of backlash and trolling against the pair, as fans demanded their podcast be cancelled permanently.

Following the controversy, Dom took to social media in May to announce that she felt “psychologically drained” and would be entering a mental health retreat.

“Over the last month I have been struggling with some deep issues that have left me emotionally, physically, and psychologically drained,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “Everyday, I am trying to be the strong, independent, and bubbly person that you all know me to be, but the reality is that I am not okay and the recent social media discourse has forced me to realise that I am at the end of my tether.”

Ella also shared a statement to the pair’s Sit With Us podcast group on Facebook, writing: “[It’s] been a weird time for Dom, me and even all of you being thrown into a media circus, some willing and some not so.

“I want to thank everyone who has posted positive supportive comments inside this group, I am reading them every day and I want you to know they go a long way.”

Domenica is currently enjoying a break with family in Europe after leaving her retreat in late June.
