MAFS' Collins shares brutal message to viewers: 'You guys suck'

EXCLUSIVE: Collins has said he can't fault the fans for their reaction to him.

Collins Christian had a very interesting character arc on MAFS, with fans torn between whether he was uninterested in his partner Natalie, a planted actor, or maybe just emotionally inept.

The 27-year-old from Perth left fans divided on his antics, with some calling him out for his chaotic rambling and others thinking he made a decent point when confronting expert John Aiken at his first and only commitment ceremony.

With Collins concerned Natalie's grief for her late father was impacting her ability to fully participate in the experiment, he argued with John that grief couldn't just be "put aside' as the couple navigated their challenges.

However, most Married At First Sight fans couldn't warm to Collins, accusing him of being fake, putting on an act, and not being on the show for the right reasons.

Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle's Behind The Edit podcast, Collins said he understood where people were coming from as he watched his journey back.

"I've taken an absolute beating, and it's been tough, but at the same time, you know watching it gives you a whole different perspective and I can't fault you guys [the fans]," he said.

"I really do come across as dismissive, fake, an absolute bozo in every sense, so I can't fault [people's] reactions, but it's just tough."

'You guys suck'

When asked what he had to say to the MAFS haters, Collins had a few words.

"You guys suck! You are rude, you are demeaning... have a heart!" he laughed.

"No but the audience keeps it real, and I appreciate what they've said. I took a beating but it all made sense. Watching it back it was confronting, but I've learned a lot," Collins continued, before hinting at more drama to come at future dinner parties.

"Going forward though, mate, buckle up!" he said.
