MAFS 2024: Meet the intruder brides and grooms

It's that time again – when hearts are at stake, relationships are forged (occasionally in both senses of the word), and Aussie viewers are glued to their screens. Welcome back to the wild world of Married at First Sight, where love blooms, drama brews, and chaos reigns supreme... and it's about to get even juicier.

Season 11 is poised to release its intruder brides and grooms into the experiment, and we can't wait to see what surprises they have in store for us. And if that's not enough excitement MAFS fans, OG groom Micheal is making a comeback after his unforgettable exit from the experiment earlier this season before he even managed to make it to the altar.

Love, drama, and maybe even a little redemption are on the horizon! Let's get to know the brave new participants.

Grooms

ASH, 33, Sales Manager from VIC

Ash is a sensitive and caring guy, who often finds himself judged by women because of his tattoos. Despite the tough exterior, he's nurturing by nature, spending a lot of time caring for his younger brothers and is eager to start a family of his own.

Ash has a history of choosing partners who live abroad, and the difficulties of maintaining a long-distance relationship often make it challenging. Ash is ready to go the extra mile for the right person though, having once moved to Norway for a partner. He's generous, thoughtful, and holds traditional values; he's just tired of attracting women who don't appreciate him and he's looking for an authentic, lasting relationship.

STEPHEN, 26, Hairdresser from WA

Stephen is a Perth local, identical twin, and one of eight children. He comes from a family-oriented Italian background, where his relationships with his mother and stepfather are incredibly important to him. Like his parents, Stephen wants to find love in a serious, monogamous relationship, which he believes can be challenging in Perth's small dating pool.

After a heartbreak from being cheated on four years ago, Stephen was reluctant to let his guard down. However, he now feels ready to trust again. He's looking for something meaningful and desires a partner who is family-oriented, has a good sense of humour, and a killer smile.

RIDGE, 27, Psychiatric Nurse from NSW

Ridge manages a rigorous fitness routine while working as a Psychiatric Nurse. Despite a playboy reputation, he's ready to commit and sees his parents' relationship as an ideal to strive for.

Previously focused on his career and training, Ridge now feels ready for a serious relationship. Self-reflection and counselling have prepared him to fully invest in a partner. While loyal and principled, Ridge can also be boisterous and self-assured. He's attracted to women with fit physiques who possess a sense of humour and don't take life too seriously.

MICHAEL, 34, Senior Sales Advisor from VIC

Returning to the MAFS experiment, Michael is back after his groom-to-be Simon threw him for a loop by quitting the show before the pair even made it to the altar. However, this season will still introduce its first same-sex couple in four years, with Michael ready to try again and take the plunge.

Originally from Ohio, he now lives in Melbourne, where he recently ended a three-year stint as a Tesla sales advisor. Michael is known for his strong convictions and unwavering loyalty. Despite these qualities, he's been single for five years, finding the dating scene tiresome. Hoping to meet a tall, dark, and handsome partner who shares his confidence and family-oriented values, he's ready to build a life with someone special.

Brides

JADE, 26, Executive Assistant from QLD

Jade is a single mother to an 8-year-old daughter and is cautious about who she lets into their world, given her past experience with infidelity. Although she can appear reserved at first, she's an honest, playful, and strong-willed person who isn't afraid to speak her mind or challenge someone if needed.

Jade is a romantic at heart and dreams of finding that earth-shattering, movie-like love. Having grown up in South Africa where arranged marriages are common, she believes that the Married at First Sight experience could lead to a strong and lasting connection.

MADELEINE, 30, Psychic Medium from VIC

Madeleine is an energetic, charismatic actor who discovered her gift as a medium after a transformative experience with ayahuasca (a South American plant-based psychedelic). She made a radical career change to pursue this path and has left her 9-year relationship to make room for someone who truly meets her needs. While she's confident in her new calling, her profession hasn't helped her find love...yet.

Madeline is a generous and empathetic person who is looking for a kind, loyal partner who will accept her for who she is.
