Madonna Shares Rare Photos of Her 'Incredibly Talented' Kids With Heartfelt Message

Madonna has shared some rare photos of her children in new behind-the-scenes snapshots taken during her Celebration Tour, the concert series she launched last fall to commemorate her four decades as a performer.

The “Queen of Pop” included a heartfelt message for her “incredibly talented” kids, four of whom have joined her on stage throughout the tour.

The photos featured the mother of six's four adopted children: David, 18, Mercy, 18, and twins Stella and Estere, 11. In some of the images that the “Vogue” singer shared in a Thursday, April 25 Instagram post, she sang and performed onstage alongside her four youngest kids. Other photos showed them rehearsing and spending quality time together backstage.

The “Like a Virgin” singer noted in her caption that they all were about to play their 80th Celebration Tour show, which took place on Friday, April 26 in Mexico City. In light of hitting that mark on the tour, Madonna, 65, wrote that she needed “to acknowledge my incredibly talented children who carried me through this Journey each of them bringing their own unique talent to the stage.”

The A League of Their Own actress went on to explain that their rehearsals, which started more than a year ago, were interrupted for several weeks as she recovered from a “near death experience.” The pop star was hospitalized last summer for treatment for what her manager, Guy Oseary, described at the time as a “serious bacterial infection.” Once she recovered, her delayed tour officially kicked off in London in October 2023.

“They never stopped practicing… they never stopped cheering me on and supporting me,” Madonna wrote of her children, adding that their “enthusiasm” encouraged her to keep moving forward.

“I think what my children learned the most this year of rehearsing and performing is that if you want to follow your dreams, you have to work hard for them,” her Instagram caption continued. "And if all of them choose something different later in life, they will never forget this year of blood, sweat, and tears. Nor will I.”

Though Madonna’s two older children did not appear in her April 25 Instagram post, she has shared snapshots of her 23-year-old son, Rocco, on social media recently. Meanwhile, her oldest daughter Lourdes, 27, turned heads last month while attending Paris Fashion Week.
