Love Is In The Air: Everything we know about Delta Goodrem's Netflix rom-com

Aussie star Delta Goodrem is set to make her Netflix rom-com debut in September, playing a pilot in Love Is In The Air.

While we know her acting skills from Neighbours and Hating Alison Ashley, it's been a while since Delta's been on our screens, last appearing on the small screen in the Olivia Newton-John biopic Hopelessly Devoted to You.

Here's what we know about the new rom-com, so far!

What is Love Is In The Air about?

Delta plays Dana Randall, a fiercely independent pilot who is fighting to keep her non-profit air service afloat alongside her father and mechanic BFF Nikki. Set in Far North Queensland the three work together to provide essential air services to local island communities.

Of course, all good romantic comedies need drama or an enemies-turned-to-lovers trope. Enter London-based financial representative William, who is sent to review the airline's financials. What Dana doesn't know is that William's audit of the company is to confirm the business's struggles and close it down.

However, as William spends time with Dana and the community, he's torn between his job and his feelings.

Who stars in Love Is In The Air?

Delta Goodrem, of course, plays the leading character Dana, with British actor Joshua Sasse playing William (fun fact, Joshua Sasse used to be engaged to Kylie Minogue in 2016).

Comedian Steph Tisdell stars as Dana's BFF Nikki, and the cast also includes Roy Billing, Simon Brook McLachlan, Mia Grunwald, Hugh Parker, Daniela Pizzirani, and Dante Surace.

Fans of Delta will be delighted to know it also sounds like she has potentially penned some new songs that may appear in the movie.

What are people saying about Love Is In The Air?

So far the movie trailer seems to be garnering favourable reviews.

"This looks brilliant! So good to see you acting again too," one person commented on Delta's Instagram post.

"We are ready to board Delta airways," one person joked.
