'Love Is Blind' Season 8 Star Madison Reveals the Message She Received From Alex After Their Split (Exclusive)
While Madison Errichiello didn't get a proposal from Alex Brown on Season 8 of Love Is Blind, she did receive a message from her ex following their breakup on the show.
"Right when I got my phone back, the first DM I got was from Alex," the artists laughs in an exclusive interview with Parade.
"He said, 'Oh my f-cking God.' Because he DM-ed me on Instagram, so he had seen what I looked like," she adds.
During their final date in Episode 6, Alex told Madison that they were "not at a point to get engaged." Speaking to Parade, Madison admits that going into that date, she did not think Alex was going to pop the question.
"I had hopes that I was gonna find my husband there. So I think I was kind of like, when I would speak about it, I would manifest it and kind of speak positively about the situation, but I think him and I were both very realistic with each other about our expectations," she shares. "We did at one point say to each other, like, 'I don't think I can say I love you quite yet,' and that was the day before the breakup, so I definitely didn't go into that date thinking I was going to get proposed to."
However, had Alex proposed, Madison doesn't believe she would have accepted. "With how the date had gone, I think I would have had to walk away from the situation a little bit and come back to it," she says. "Because we did have a little bit of a disagreement, so I don't think I would have said yes in that moment."
Madison also points out that an engagement wasn't necessary in order to "watch how that relationship would either thrive or end." She confesses, "I don't think I would have ever considered an engagement if I didn't truly love that person."

Ultimately, Madison is happy that her and Alex's relationship ended when it did and not at the altar. "I don't want my time to be wasted like I don't want to waste anyone else's time," she says. "And I think like in that last date, I might have left with some questions, but I think over time, I was really thankful that that was the conclusion of our relationship."
The first six episodes of Season 8 of Love Is Blind are now streaming on Netflix. The second batch of episodes premiere Feb. 21.
