For Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck Would “Drop Everything”

In the span of 20 years, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have gone from co-stars to couple to co-parents. And while the two ultimately decided to go their separate ways in 2015, they are still very much a part of each other's lives. So much so, in fact, that it's been reported that Affleck is ready and willing to "drop everything" to support his ex. 

According to The Daily Mail, the actress has been going "nonstop" to help out amid the aftermath of the Los Angeles wildfires and those close to her are concerned she's taken on too much. "Jen has been dedicating every waking hour to helping her friends who have lost everything in the fires," a source told the outlet. "She is helping her church, and she has been going non-stop." 

They added, "She needs to take some time to relax but that is not how Jen is–not when she is passionate about something. The fires took a big toll on her and she lost a friend. She has been out there every day volunteering her time."

Last month, Garner volunteered with chef José Andrés and World Central Kitchen to provide food for evacuees, and during an interview with MSNBC at the time, she revealed that a friend of hers died in the fires. “I did lose a friend, and for our church, it’s really tender so I don’t feel like we should talk about it yet,” she said, revealing that the person "didn't get out in time." 

At the moment, Affleck "is not super concerned" for Jen's well-being, says the source, but "if that changes, he would drop everything to make sure she's OK." They added that he views his ex-wife as "superwoman," noting that "She has saved him many times and there is nothing in the world he would not do for her."

The news comes just weeks after it was reported that Garner and Affleck are "closer than they've ever been" since they finalized their divorced in 2018. According to a source at Page Six, Affleck has been receiving a lot of emotional support from Garner following his divorce from Jennifer Lopez, and as a result, they have been able to forge a tight bond. 

“Particularly since Ben’s divorce from Jennifer [Lopez] and with the LA fires and everything going on, they [Affleck and Garner] have found themselves leaning on each other more than ever,” the insider previously shared.
