Earlier this week, there was speculation that King Charles wouldn't be able to see his son, Prince Harry, during his trip to London to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games. However, according to ITV News's royal editor, Chris Ship, the king would likely "find a gap" in his schedule to accommodate Harry. Even though the event is set to take place on May 8, the Mirror notes that there's still no confirmation on which members of the royal family will join Harry at St Paul's Cathedral in London.

"At some point, they're going to find a gap in the king's schedule," Ship said. "When he comes, he will probably see his dad."

According to The Telegraphon "Wednesday, [Charles] will have his weekly audience with the Prime Minister before he hopes to attend the first Buckingham Palace garden party of the season." The rest of Charles's week is filled with vague things like "appointments and engagements," so there's hope that a meet-up can happen.

"It's going to be very difficult for Harry to come to the UK and not visit his stricken father, King Charles," royal expert Tom Quinn added.

Quinn also assured royal fans that if a meeting happens, it'll probably be longer than a quick 30-minute chat. He notes that Camilla will likely also be around for the father-son reunion.

"When the two meet, it will almost certainly be a longer meeting than last time when father and son spent just 30 minutes together, but Camilla is likely to be there simply because she feels so protective of her husband and won’t want him to be upset at such a difficult time," Quinn said. "Also, despite much that has been written, Camila is exceptionally diplomatic and good at dealing with difficult situations and difficult people. If anyone can steer comfortably through a meeting with Harry, Camilla can—which is why Charles will want her there."

Quinn added that Charles sincerely wants to make time for Harry, saying that the king "won't want to be seen to be avoiding his son even if the meeting is awkward and difficult."

"Like William, Charles makes a point always to seem generous and magnanimous. He is aware that this contrasts well with his often-petulant son," Quinn said. "Charles and Harry know that everyone will be watching to see if they meet and neither wants to be the one blamed for rejecting the other."

It's also not clear whether or not Harry will have a chance to visit with his brother William—or if he wants to. The Mirror adds that a talk is "unlikely." The two have been growing apart not only since Harry's move to America but also in the wake of his memoir, Spare. Meghan Markle will also not be making the trip to the U.K., though she will join Harry on a visit to Nigeria following the Invictus anniversary event.
