Chanel's short film for men's fragrance Bleu de Chanel starring Timothée Chalamet is finally here, more than a year after the brand announced the actor as the face of the scent.

The 90-second number, directed by Martin Scorsese (whose "Killers of the Flower Moon" was nominated for 10 Oscars in March), features Chalamet, with an appearance from Havana Rose Liu, in a fast-paced, yet trance-like series of frames. Per a press release provided by Chanel, the film explores "the delicate ambivalence between the overexposure that comes with fame, which causes the actor to live a scripted version of his life, and his profound desire to seek authenticity in his craft." The "Dune" star is corralled between an enviable Manhattan apartment, television sets, a train station and more. It mimics the feel of a noir, but isn't quite so, thanks to touches of blue (and a final scene in color).

"The world has changed. There's another aspect to celebrity in a way. Which is even more extreme than 10 or 15 years ago," said Scorsese in a statement.

"I'm playing sort of a caricature of what my life could be seen as, sort of in a hyper-realized setting, and sort of the publicity requirements that come with acting," Chalamet told Harper's Bazaar last year. "One of the highest honors, if not the highest honor, of my career: to get to work with Martin Scorsese in New York. I'm a New York boy — I'm a New York actor. Checking something huge off [the] personal bucket list."

Chanel first teased the campaign in May 2023 when it announced the actor as the face of its citrus-and-woodsy scent. Remember, that viral behind-the-scenes video of Chalamet running on a train platform into a camera? Now, we can see it in post.
