Jessica Mauboy and Guy Sebastian performed at 2024 Logie Awards tonight, singing a tribute to Aussie icon John Farnham, covering his songs 'Burn For You' and 'You're The Voice' but some fans noticed a little error when it came to the duet.

After Guy's solo performance of 'Burn For You' Jess took to the stage to kick off Australia's unofficial national anthem, 'You're The Voice' but she appeared to accidentally sing the first line incorrectly.

The first verse starts with the lyrics "We have the chance to turn the pages over", but Jess started with the first line of the second verse, singing, "This time, we know we all can stand together" before continuing with the correct second line "we can write what we want to write, we gotta make ends meet, before we get much older."

On X, one viewer picked up on the mistake, tweeting, "Jess Mauboy can bloody sing but she just sang the wrong words to start 'You're The Voice' didn’t even get close to the first line."

"If only 'You're The Voice' had started with the correct line," another person said.

"If only Jess had sung the correct first line to You're The Voice," said a third.

"Guy & Jess....ya absolutely killed that dedication to John Farnham," another person tweeted.

"Name an Australian awards show where Jess Mauboy hasn’t done a tribute or in memoriam performance? She’s kind of our Jennifer Hudson," one fan joked.

Another fan said the performance made them emotonal. "It was great," they said of the performance. "The scenes of John in the background brought tears to my eyes."
