Logies 2024: Aussie star’s desperate plea after noticing telling detail at awards show

One Aussie star isn't so sure he's about to nab a Logie tonight, after uploading a photo on X, showing that he and his team are "nowhere near" the Logies stage.

Hard Quiz host Tom Gleeson who famously win a Gold Logie in 2019 after a campaign heavily based in mocking the honour, made a joke earlier about not winning anything this year after finding out where he's been seated, with Hard Quiz nominated for Best Comedy Entertainment Program.

"We’re nowhere near the Logies stage. None of us are winning anything. Unless you vote!" he posted on X, in a selfie with the rest of the ABC crew.

"Cheap seats," one person joked in response. "We still luv ya, Tommy," another person said. "Where’s Larry sitting?" one person commented back, referencing Larry Emdur is up for the Gold Logie.

Tom also uploaded a photo with his partner earlier in the day, both looking all glammed up for TV's night of nights.

"If you win the Gold Logie, you and your partner are invited to the Logies for the rest of your life. So they can’t get rid of me!" he said.

The King of campaigning for Logies, Tom's been on a mission to see if Hard Quiz will take out the award tonight, with the show being up against Gruen, Have You Been Paying Attention?, Thank God You're Here, The Weekly With Charlie Pickering, and The Yearly with Charlie Pickering.

The show has never won a Logie, with last year's winner in the category being Have You Been Paying Attention?, taking their tally to seven Logies in total.
