Lizzo Addresses Ozempic Rumors After Dramatic Weight Loss Transformation
It's "About Damn Time" Lizzo got some credit for the work she's been putting in.
The 36-year-old singer took to social media this week to call out recent accusations that she's been taking Ozempic—and even though she denied the claims, she was somewhat flattered by the allegations.
In a video uploaded to Instagram on Friday, Sept. 20, Lizzo seemed to celebrate that she finally got accused of using Ozempic, meaning her months of hard work in the gym showed visible results.
"When you finally get ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit," Lizzo wrote over a video of her mouthing the words to an audio clip saying it feels "like a reward" to get some acknowledgement for her recent weight loss.
In her caption, she provided the initial comment she got from a fan, writing, 'oZeMpIc oR cOkE?'- a fan 😭😭😭😭." She also shared a screenshot of the exact comment from the hater, to which she replied, "Whyyyy do you follow me?"
"I love the public call out!" one of Lizzo's fans applauded her in the comments, saying the fan, "F’d around and found out! 😂."
Even if it was ozempic, who cares … weight loss is weight loss" someone else pointed out, while plenty of users gave Lizzo credit for the hard work she's been putting in for her health.
"You’re doing great and looking strong and amazing!" one user wrote.
Another encouraged the Grammy-winner, "Lizzo you don't owe the internet anything abt ur weight loss. Keep doing YOU. The internet can 'Mind the business tht Payz Them,' PERIODT DO U BOO!"
More fans of the "Juice" singer didn't hesitate to compliment her transformation, with one user writing, "I've been noticing the changes these last few months but I didn't mention it because it's 2024 and we shouldn't be talking about anyone's body. However, you look AMAZING!!"
