Liv Tyler Stuns in Sheer Black Dress in Rare Red Carpet Appearance
Liv Tyler, who many fans know from roles like Arwen in Lord of the Rings and Grace Stamper in Armageddon, made a rare public appearance on the red carpet at the premiere of Captain America: Brave New World, wowing fans.
The actress arrived in style, wearing a classic black dress with a twist to the premiere, which was held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, Calif. on Feb. 11.
Tyler looked radiant in a long-sleeved black dress that ended just below the knee, with a sheer panel covered in polka dots going down her entire left side. She completed the look with matching black pointed heels and dark red nail polish with a matching bold red lip, while her hair was styled in soft waves.
Tyler is making her official return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the movie, reprising her role as Dr. Betty Ross, which she originally played in 2008's The Incredible Hulk.

She spoke with Extra at the premiere to talk about her role in the film, saying that she was "very touched to be asked" to come back. Recounting how the appearance came to be, she said, "I got a phone call saying, '[Marvel Studios President] Kevin Feige wants to speak to you.'"
"I said, 'Well, doesn't he want to see me? It's been a long time!' Yeah, so, they asked me to come back." Tyler later called the project "so special" and said it was "sort of the perfect way to lure me back into remembering how much I love acting."
Along with Tyler, the new Marvel movie stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus Ross, and Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, among others. Captain America: Brave New World officially hits theaters on Feb. 14.
