Taking to Instagram on Monday, The Project host revealed she's in Los Angeles after sharing a snap of herself outside The Hotel California.
"Plenty of room at the Hotel California!" she wrote. "I'm here in the US for some very special @theprojecttv interviews. Can't wait to share more…"
Posing in a maxi dress and white sneakers, Lisa looked relaxed as she posed for the snap.
The host's last social media post was on July 10, when she presented a pre-recorded interview with former Olympic swimmer Michael Klim, which aired the same night.
It comes following reports Lisa will not be returning to The Project in July as originally planned and will be based in the US for the coming weeks.
Lisa took a four-week break following her infamous Logies acceptance speech for Most Outstanding News Coverage or Public Affairs Report for her 2021 interview with Brittany Higgins
The speech saw lawyers for Bruce Lehrmann, who is accused of rape, successfully temporarily delay his trial, sparking outrage in the media.
News.com.au reports Lisa was given a warning about delivering a speech about Brittany and her coverage of the sexual assault allegations in the days leading up to the awards show.
According to The Australian, Lisa's absence was due to the "high emotional 'toll'" from the speech and rather than returning to the desk, she was "quietly and securely whisked out of Australia and into Los Angeles".
The publication claims Lisa "will now make the US her base" for the coming weeks and will file interviews with A-list stars and packaged stories for the show from LA and New York.
The trip was already planned as part of Lisa's annual leave, but her absence from the show was extended, with The Australian adding, "She'll be dialling in from her new-found Hollywood base as The Project's roving reporter."
