Lisa Kudrow Opens Up About The 1 Touching Gift Matthew Perry Left
Lisa Kudrow recently appeared on “The Drew Barrymore Show” to recall a touching way that the late Matthew Perry was there for her, like he’s been there before.
During the interview, which aired on Tuesday, Barrymore cheekily asked Kudrow if she had ever “stolen anything” from the set of “Friends,” the popular ’90s TV show she starred in with Perry.
Kudrow suggested that she had, but was too “afraid” to say anything because she didn’t want the possessions taken from her.
This cheeky exchange prompted Barrymore to wonder about the fate of the infamous “cookie time jar” from Kudrow’s hit show.
“Matthew gave that to me at the end of our last episode,” Kudrow clarified, recalling that she had received the gift when their show ended in 2004 and that she “hadn’t opened it or looked inside it” until recently.
That was when she found a note in the jar from Perry, she told Barrymore, without revealing what the message said. Both women agreed that “timing is everything.”
In December, Kudrow appeared on the podcast “Dinner’s On Me,” hosted by Jesse Tyler, to discuss the single reunion the cast of “Friends” had after the show ended. She described it as “fantastic and great.”
After Perry’s death, Kudrow wrote in an Instagram post: “Thank you for making me laugh so hard at something you said, that my muscles ached, and tears poured down my face EVERY DAY. Thank you for your open heart in a six way relationship that required compromise.”
Perry died of a drug overdose in October 2023.
