The Unity Summit Tour returns to LA for a second year featuring panels and workshops designed to promote positive change and create equitable environments for all.
Launched in 2019, Unity has a mission to bridge the equity gap by providing joining leading companies with college and high school students from marginalized backgrounds to foster educational and workforce opportunities. Unity also provides executives and community leaders access to learning and mentoring that will contribute to a culture of inclusivity.
Following Los Angeles, the tour continues Oct. 4 to New York City, Oct. 31 to Bentonville and concludes Nov. 22 in London. Each event will bring students together with top executives from Fortune 500 companies including Netflix, A&E Networks, and Walmart to advocate for increased inclusivity throughout the entertainment industry and beyond.
“We are thrilled to partner with Lionsgate in bringing Unity to the studio’s headquarters, providing an invaluable opportunity for our students,” said John Gaiters, Founder, Unity. “Lionsgate has been an outstanding partner, and we look forward to exploring further ways to collaborate in the future.”
“Since launching Unity, John and his team have taken significant steps to make our industry more inclusive,” said Ross Pollack, Chief Human Resources Officer, Lionsgate. “We are pleased to support Unity’s mission by welcoming college students and various organizations to Lionsgate to continue to facilitate important, timely conversations focused on increasing diversity in the workplace.”
