The news came after The Parent Trap star called Shammas, who is thought to still work in finance as the Assistant Vice President at Credit Suisse in Dubai, her "husband" in an Instagram post just before their marriage was confirmed.

"🎂❤️🥰I am the luckiest woman in the world. Not because I need a man, but because he found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time," Lohan wrote alongside the post, which appears to have since been deleted.

She added at the time, "I am stunned that this is my husband. My life and my everything. ❤️every woman should feel like this everyday 💖🙏."

The November before, Lohan had announced the couple's engagement while showing off her dazzling ring. "My love. My life. My family. My future," she wrote on Instagram.
