Former One Direction members, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan, reunited on Wednesday, November 20, for the funeral of their bandmate Liam Payne. The four musicians were seen heading into St. Mary's Church in Amersham, London, looking somber in black suits. According to TMZ, Styles appeared to get emotional while walking in.

Payne's parents Karen and Geoff, as well as his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, were all seen ahead of the ceremony. Cheryl Cole, the mother of Payne's son, Bear, was also in attendance. Simone Cowell, who launched the careers of Payne and the rest of the band members on The X Factor U.K., was seen ahead of the service with his fiancé. Payne tragically died last month at age 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. The autopsy revealed that at the time of death, traces of cocaine, alcohol, and a prescription antidepressant were found in his system. Three people have been charged in the connection of his death.

Styles, Malik, Tomlinson, and Horan all honored to their former bandmate following his untimely death. In addition to individual tributes, the four posted an emotional joint statement to the One Direction Instagram. “We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing," they wrote. "In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly."
