Lenny Kravitz Forgets 1 Essential Part Of Black-Tie Look At The VMAs

Lenny Kravitz let his accessories do some heavy lifting at the MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday night.

The “Fly Away” rocker donned one of his signature leather looks on the red carpet, teaming tight black pants with a zip-up motorcycle jacket and dark sunglasses.

Treating everyone to a look at his washboard abs, the singer decided to skip a shirt for the evening.

Apparently not wanting to look underdressed, however, Kravitz opted to wear a jewel-embellished tie atop his bare chest.

Making the ensemble appear all the more absurd, he secured the tie around his neck with a skinny strand of string.

The “Are You Gonna Go My Way” singer, who was set to perform with rapper Quavo at the awards, completed the outfit with a pair of white boots and a heavy metal bracelet.

While Kravitz’s interpretation of black tie certainly raised some eyebrows, the star has been fond of experimenting with unusual leather looks lately.

In May, he puzzled fans by posting a TikTok of himself working out while clad in skintight leather pants.
