Sadly, Laverne Cox won’t be dazzling as a red carpet host for the 2025 Golden Globes, which are being held Sunday evening.

“With an incredible amount of gratitude I’ve decided not to return as host of #LiveFromE’s red carpet coverage. I’m so incredibly proud of the work we did over my three year tenure,” she wrote in her caption, alongside a montage of her interviews over the past few years.
Who will be filling Cox’s fashionable shoes for E!’s red carpet coverage?
Sunday’s Live From E!: Golden Globes will be cohosted by Access Hollywood‘s Zuri Hall and comedian Heather McMahan, starting at 3 pm PT as the nominees hit the carpet, according to E! News. Cohost Keltie Knight will also be on the red carpet to deliver hot takes on the biggest fashion trends and what everyone is wearing.
Cox can be seen starring opposite George Wallace in the new Norman Lear comedy Clean Slate, premiering Thursday, Feb. 6 on prime Video.
The 2025 Golden Globes will air on CBS this Sunday, Jan. 5, at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT and stream live on Paramount+ for those who have the Paramount Plus With Showtime plan. Actress/comedian Nikki Glaser will host.
