Lauren Sánchez, Jeff Bezos' fiancée, wears white to Trump inauguration: See the photo
Lauren Sánchez took a page from Hillary Clinton's book. Kind of.
Sánchez, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' fiancée, sported a white pantsuit to President Donald Trump's inauguration, held in the Capitol Hill rotunda on account of freezing weather in the nation's capital. It harkened back to the outfit the former secretary of state, Clinton, wore to Trump's first inauguration in 2017. She had lost the the 2016 election to him just months before.
Sánchez was one of several women wearing white up front among Trump's political allies.
Clinton initially wore a white pantsuit at the Democrat National Convention in 2016, which paid homage to the suffragist movement. This energy later followed during the Women's March in 2017; a smaller protest was held in Washington this past weekend ahead of Trump's second inauguration.
As always, some on social media chimed in about the fashion: "Lauren Sanchez looking both lovely and appropriate in winter white. Lots of winter white today, and I like it!!" one X user wrote, while others were more critical of her outfit choice for being too risqué for the occasion. She's been criticized for such outfit choices in the past.
