Aries aligns with David, a preacher and the leader of a group of cannibalistic survivors.

"A zealot for his beliefs, he is willing to take aggressive action to achieve his goals... even open to taking a darker, cannibal path to save his settlement," says Thomas of the supporting character.

"Aries are fiery, powerful and aggressive. They are a cardinal fire sign ruled by the planet Mars," he explains. "Known to be one of the most passionate zodiac signs of all, Aries embodies the traits of a leader."

Taurus aligns with Joel, a smuggler eventually responsible for smuggling and protecting Ellie Williams.

"Known as one of the most loyal, sturdy and persevering zodiac signs, Taurus will put their entire heart and soul into a mission," says Thomas. "They are the unstoppable force and the immovable object."

"They will put their mind toward achieving a goal no matter what it takes," he continues. "This aligns significantly with Joel, who holds his daughter Sarah in his heart, and is willing to move mountains for Ellie."

Gemini: Dina

Gemini aligns with Dina, partner of Ellie, who assists her in her mission for revenge.

"As a zodiac sign known for its optimistic, carefree and high-spirited energy, Gemini loves to connect with others and pursue freedom and fun," says Thomas. "They possess that natural spark seen in Dina, which brings joy to Ellie's life and opens her up to adventure."

Cancer: Ellie Williams & Sarah Miller

Cancer aligns with both Ellie and Sarah, "two of the emotional core characters" in the series that possess traits of the Water sign.

Ruled by the moon, Thomas says Cancers have "emotional strength." He explains, "They're sensitive, compassionate, emotional and caring. However, they’re also known to have a thick outer shell with a soft inner core, like the crab that represents them."

Leo: Marlene

Leo aligns with Marlene, the commander of the Fireflies and close friend of Ellie's mom, Anna.

"Fiery, passionate, goal-oriented and dynamic, this zodiac sign stands out from the crowd," says Thomas. "Their exhilarating radiance and power attract people to them and inspire others to follow their lead."

"As a Fire sign ruled by the Sun, they crave leadership positions and will fight for what they believe in," he continues. "Marlene, as a leader of the Fireflies, embodies these Leo qualities."

Virgo: Tommy Miller

Virgo aligns with Tommy, the younger brother of Joel and the paternal uncle of Sarah.

"The Earth sign ruled by mercury is immensely hardworking, dutiful, strong and caring," says Thomas. "They are like a rock, which you can always rely on. However, they do possess an opinionated edge, due to their element and planetary ruler."

"Tommy is a fan-favorite character from the series," continues Thomas. "As the brother of Joel, he is willing to go out on a limb to aid those he cares for. His smart decision to join a collective with a power plant has long-term sustainability to it."

Libra: Kathleen

Libra aligns with Kathleen, the leader of a Hunters-like resistance group who is driven by vengeance for her brother's death and looks for revenge from those who betrayed him.

"This air sign is a master connector," says Thomas. "They have a deep need to intellectualize their feelings and seek to live by their own brand of justice. While they seek to protect and aid those who align with them, they may stand their ground against those who oppose their vision."

"Kathleen is a powerhouse in the series," he puts forth, adding, "She's eager to take command and distribute her own brand of justice."

Scorpio: Abby Anderson

Scorpio aligns with Abby Anderson, a soldier of the Washington Liberation Front who seeks to avenge her father's death.

"Regarded as the most intense zodiac sign, Scorpios are known to be the most vengeful of them all," says Thomas. "They will stop at nothing to achieve their goals and can take pleasure in the downfall of their enemies."

"Abby is a character who is motivated by intense revenge," he explains. "She has her own awakening and transformation, much like a Scorpio does in their own lives."

Sagittarius: Tess

Sagittarius aligns with Tess, a devout partner to Joel who becomes inspired by the dream of a new world. She loves the taste of adventure!

"Ruled by Jupiter, this zodiac sign is one of the best friends you can have," says Thomas. "They are courageous, passionate, feisty and adventure runs through their spirits. With an impulsive edge at times, they’ll charge headfirst into a challenge just to see how they can outsmart their enemy."

Capricorn: Bill

Capricorn aligns with Bill, a self-described survivalist who transforms his town into a compound after the outbreak.

"This earth sign ruled by Saturn is one of the most sturdy, enduring and calculating zodiac signs," Thomas points out. "They know that they must plod forward day by day carefully to get where they want to be."

"They may at times have a cold and detached demeanor, which is simply because they are analyzing every detail," he continues. "Bill, who owns his own town in the series, embodies the endless strength of a Capricorn."

Aquarius: The Infected

Aquarius aligns with the infected, or the humans who have been taken over by a Cordyceps brain infection and mutated into frightening new beings.

"The infected in the series become a mass horde," says Thomas. "Ruled by their minds, they can be chaotic and unpredictable... aligning with some of the themes of Aquarius."

As an Air sign and ruled by Uranus, Thomas says Aquarius "can possess an intellectual approach to everything, motivated by their minds and ideas and sometimes have an eccentric, spontaneous and impulsive edge."

Pisces: Henry

Pisces aligns with Henry, is a Hartford survivor who is known for his strong protective instincts towards his younger brother Sam.

"This Water sign is sensitive, sweet, and possesses a forever child-like spirit," says Thomas. "They always seek to believe in the good in life and humanity and are dreamers. Aligned with Neptune, they prefer to live in a world of fantasy or their emotions rather than reality."

"Henry aligns with these traits," says Thomas, adding, "He captivates the audiences with his youthful innocence."
