Throwback photo reveals Princess Charlotte's royal twin
Princess Charlotte is one of the most recognisable and adorable four-year-olds in the world, and it looks like she may get it all from a distant royal family member.
An Instagram photo over the weekend revealed the pint-sized princess has a royal doppelganger in Prince William’s cousin – Charlotte’s second cousin, Lady Kitty Spencer.
The stunning niece of Princess Diana is, as it turns out, may be an exact double of what Charlotte will look like as an adult, that is, if her baby photos are anything to go off.
Taking to Instagram at the weekend, Kitty shared an impossibly posh throwback snap to her two-year-old self on horseback but it wasn’t the blue bloodedness of the whole thing that had people talking.
Rather, royal watchers did a double-take, unsure if they were looking at baby Kitty, or current Charlotte.
The adorable photo shows the fashion model’s younger self atop her steed, baring a very recognisable grin for anyone who follows the Cambridges closely.
Next to a snap of her cousin, its impossible to deny the pair’s striking similarity.
Down to their cheeky facial expressions, light brown hair and round chubby cheeks, the pair look like identical twins separated by a decade or two.
Flabbergasted, fans of the gorgeous Kitty took to the comments to gush over the adorable likeness.
“Like Charlotte Cambridge,” one pointed out.
“You look exactly like Charlotte,” another wrote.
“Little Charlotte looks like you at this age,” one shared.
Dozens other commented on the similarity between the two.
Who is Lady Kitty Spencer?
A cousin of William and Harry, Lady Kitty is a distinguished model and takes after her aunt Diana with her philanthropic work.
The royal adjacent shot to international prominence after Meghan and Harry’s wedding when she wowed in a hand-painted Dolce & Gabbana dress and nabbed around 500k followers overnight.
She raised eyebrows recently with a rumoured engagement to 60-year-old boyfriend Michael Lewis.
Multimillionaire Lewis is the owner of high street chain Whistles, which was bought by South African clothing retail company, Foschini Group, in 2016.
The eldest child of Earl Charles Spencer and his first wife, former fashion model Victoria Lockwood, she was raised in Cape Town, South Africa but split her time between there and England after her parents divorced in 1997.
