Lady Gaga Makes Rare Appearance in Jeans as She Embraces Relaxed French Girl Style in Paris

It's official: Lady Gaga is back in denim

Since landing in Paris on July 22, Lady Gaga has been out and about in the city preparing for what fans suspect is a performance at the 2024 Summer Olympics, which kicks off on Friday, July 26.

While that is yet to be confirmed, the “Poker Face” singer, 38, has been going about her business in style.

On July 24, she was photographed outside her hotel greeting fans and cameras, rocking a bold red lip and platinum blonde updo that were undeniably Gaga-coded.

However, in non-Gaga fashion, she wore a laid-back French girl look rather than her signature avant-garde costumes.

Her outfit featured a pair of baggy mid-wash boyfriend jeans that she rolled up at the hem to show off her sky-high stilettos and a double-breasted navy blazer, both by Celine. She also accessorized with minimal jewelry, oval sunglasses, and a tiny handbag by the French fashion label.

It’s rare for the Haus Labs founder to be wearing denim and it seems like the last time she dusted off her skinnies was at the 2023 Oscars, where she performed a powerful performance of the Top Gun: Maverick track “Hold My Hand” in a black T-shirt and ripped jeans.

The other outfits Gaga has worn in Paris this week have also been pared down in comparison to her extravagant gowns (like the futuristic Selva gown she wore in May), but still glam nonetheless.

On July 23, she was photographed in a silver varsity bomber jacket, slouchy black pants and square-toe boots. The day before, she smiled for the cameras in a baseball cap and an oversize leather jacket.

Gaga's recent outfit choices signal a new style era, one that features a subdued edginess as well as classic silhouettes.

Back in March, she celebrated her 38th birthday in a maxi moto-inspired Retrofête belted trench coat, featuring statement shoulders and exposed zippers throughout. Meanwhile, at the Maestro premiere this past December, she supported her former costar Bradley Cooper in a fitted sleek suit consisting of a blazer with a bit of bling.
