Yahoo Lifestyle Lady Gaga Embraces Victorian-inspired Gothic Glamour in Custom Samuel Lewis for Grammys 2025 Red Carpet
Lady Gaga ushered in her “Mayhem” album era with a gothic and Victorian-inspired look at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles. Gaga’s new album debuts on March 7. The singer is nominated for two Grammys, including Song of the Year for “Die With A Smile” alongside Bruno Mars.
For the red carpet event, Gaga wore a structured gown courtesy of Samuel Lewis. The dramatic dress featured a voluminous ruched skirt with billowing fabric cascading down the red carpet, creating a long train for the artist’s look.

The bodice of the dress was the most elaborate element, featuring severe shoulders and long sleeves with semi-corsetry and intricate, all-over lace-up detailing in a leather-like fabric. The bodice also featured a high neckline, adding to the nod to gothic and Victorian style sensibilities with a touch of dark glamour.
Gaga accessorized her look with jewelry pieces courtesy of Tiffany & Co., including a statement necklace and earrings. Gaga’s glam also went wholly method. Her hair featured a severe, inky black tone with angular bangs and a few wisps to artfully frame her face. Her makeup included blond brows, a slight smokey eye and a touch of color with a red lip. Gaga’s look was curated by stylist Nick Royal of Hard Style.
Prior to ushering in her “Mayhem” album era, Gaga went method during the promotional tour for the film “Joker: Folie à Deux” in 2024. During the press tour for the film, a sequel to the 2019 Oscar-winning film “Joker,” Gaga wore pieces courtesy of Celine, Christian Dior and more, nodding to her theatrical roots.
Gaga’s forthcoming album, “Mayhem,” marks the Grammy and Academy Award-winning singer and songwriter’s eighth solo studio album.
The 67th Grammy Awards, hosted by Trevor Noah at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, celebrated the best in music while also raising funds for wildfire relief efforts in California and honoring first responders. Beyoncé led the nominations with a record-breaking 11 nods. Other top nominees included Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Taylor Swift.
