Philadelphia isn't always the City of Brotherly Love, according to Kylie Kelce.

The Philadelphia native and wife of beloved former Eagles star Jason Kelce knows that the city has a history of disliking ESPN sportscaster Joe Buck, and got the chance to explain why when Buck, 55, was a guest on They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce on Saturday, January 11.

“You guys f—ing hate me, I know,” Buck said on the show, which films in Philadelphia.

Jason, 37, then made a mid-interview phone call to Kylie to get the details.

Kylie, who has been vocal about her loyalty to Philadelphia's sports teams, explained, "Well, I was raised in a house where I was taught to dislike Joe Buck."

"I mean... I was taught that by my father," she continued. "I very much recognize the pattern in which it seemed as though he was always cheering for the other team." But when Jason asked if she had any proof of that happening, Kylie said, "Of course not."

When asked what she thinks of Buck currently, the mother of three (soon to be four!) jokingly said that she was "annoyed" to discover that he was nice when the two met during a Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium.

"It completely negated everything I've been taught," Kylie said, prompting a laugh from the live audience.

Buck was a good sport about the disdain from Kylie and Philly fans. "I get it. I actually don't take it personally," he told Jason.

Despite having friends and family on multiple teams in the NFL, including her brother-in-law Travis Kelce of the Chiefs, Kylie remains loyal to her hometown's Philadelphia Eagles and even refuses to wear other team's colors — whether the Eagles are playing or not.

In February 2024, Jason explained Kylie's stance on repping other teams on an episode of New Heights.

“Kylie got some love from the Philadelphia fans for her continued refusal to wear Chiefs gear even though she has personal connections. She just does not want to do it,” Jason said.

“I have tried [saying], ‘Kylie, we have family in the game, it’s okay to cheer on that team. They’re not playing the Eagles. You realize this isn’t against the Eagles right?’ She just refuses.”
