Imogen Anthony refuses to be shamed for completely sheer top
Imogen Anthony has hit back at critics of her recent outfit choice - a completely sheer silver dress that left her nipples exposed - in a feisty Instagram post on Saturday.
The girlfriend of radio shock-jock Kyle Sandilands, 48, shared a video of herself strutting the sidewalk in the racy garment, which she wore to Maxim magazine’s eighth birthday celebrations in Sydney the previous night.
Dare to bare
In the post titled ‘Indecent exposure,’ the 28-year-old let loose at those who shamed her raunchy fashion choice.
“I honestly don’t have time for the nipple justification talk - it’s old, it’s been said and even I f***en yawn at it,” Imogen wrote.
“I shouldn’t have to justify myself any further let alone at all. I don’t lower myself because of what I wear, I wear what I want because I have so much damn respect for myself - however you see it or not,” she went on.
The risqué frock in question is called the ‘long Iggy dress’ by Aussie label The Naked Tiger and costs $149.
It’s described on the brand’s website as a long sleeved dress embellished with glitter and diamontes and features a daring thigh-high side split.
Like the model pictured on the site, Imogen opted to pair the dress with a sparkly thong - and nothing else.
Embracing her body
“I don’t second guess myself like I did when I was younger. I guess I covered that lack of liking myself with eccentric sh*t which I still love and do now today regardless. I actually hated what I looked like naked - I was repulsed at one stage. Many stages in fact,” she said.
Imogen then explained that her choice in clothing is for herself - and herself only.
“Yes, Kyle makes me feel great about myself and my body, but I’m not here for any man’s validation, or anyone’s else’s, no matter how much I love them. I needed validation within myself and I needed validation that I could finally f****n love myself... and that’s that. The fat nippled lady has sung,” she concluded.
Romance on the rocks?
Despite attending the Maxim bash without her beau Kyle, Imogen told Daily Mail that the two are very much still together regardless of recent rumours that their eight-year relationship is over.
“To say me and Kyle have split up this week is absolutely preposterous,” she said.
“I get upset because I know there is someone there that has a heart and knows in themselves that this could detriment the person and it's not true,” she added.
“They can go f**k themselves, I really do not care,” she said.
