Kurt Russell Shares Secret Behind Decades-Long Relationship With Goldie Hawn
Having been together since the 1980s, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn are a great example for any couple hoping to stay together for a long time, but a lot of people wonder how the two have kept their relationship strong for so long.
Luckily, Russell shared a bit of his wisdom in a recent interview, telling Us Weekly at Goldie’s Love-In Gala celebrating the Goldie Hawn Foundation and MindUp’s 20th anniversary, which took place on Sept. 27, "It’s just a day to day."
"She is always my priority. We’re ‘of the moment’ people," he went on. "We just kind of say, ‘What do you feel like? What do you want to do? Do you want to watch something?’”
Russell noted that their family plays a big part in their continued love, telling the publication, "Obviously, our lives revolve around our grandkids and our children, and their lives and what’s going on with them, and there’s a lot going on. We do have a lot of fun."
While Russell jokingly claimed to be "the last person in the world to think I should give advice to anybody," it seems like his technique is working, as Russell and Hawn have been together since 1983.
At the event, which was in celebration of Hawn's foundation that focuses on mental health programs, Russell put his love on full display, calling Hawn "fantastic" and saying, "I'm just proud of her for sticking with it as much as she had and has, and I look forward to where it goes...I tip my hat to her. I’m really happy for the kids, that it is beneficial for them."
Hawn and Russell have a large blended family, with the two raising Hawn's two kids Oliver and Kate Hudson, whom she shares with ex-husband Bill Hudson, as well as Boston Russell, whom Russell shares with ex-wife Season Hubley. Russell and Hawn welcomed their son Wyatt in 1986.
