Kristin Juszczyk Gifts Vanessa Bryant and Her Daughters Custom Lakers Pants with Special Nods to Kobe Bryant
Juszczyk created custom merch for the Bryant family for the second Mamba League Invitational
Kristin Juszczyk is remembering Kobe Bryant through her designs.
The fashion designer, who went viral this year for creating Taylor Swift's Chiefs coat, recently made custom Lakers patchwork pants for the late athlete’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, and their daughters — Natalia, Bianka and Capri — for the second Mamba League Invitational.
The event, held on Aug. 24 in Los Angeles, is a two-day tournament hosted by Nike that brings together the best high school basketball players in the city in honor of Kobe's legacy.
In a behind-the-scenes Instagram video captioned “Mamba Mentality Forever,” Juszczyk showed all the special details honoring the basketball legend, who died at 41 on Jan. 26, 2020, in a helicopter crash alongside his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other people.
Each pair that Juszczyk, 30, made for the family features an “8” and “24” — numbers that Bryant wore during his time on the Los Angeles Lakers. It also has the name “Bryant” and "Lakers” sewn into it from a Bryant jersey.
Juszczyk got to see her work on Natalia, 21, during the event, where they shared a sweet hug on the court. The model and University of Southern California student wore her pants with a white T-shirt, black shoulder bag and gold jewelry.
