Kristin Cavallari explained on her podcast why she broke up with her 24-year-old boyfriend, Mark Estes.

“I broke up with Mark because I just know long term it’s not right,” the 37-year-old former reality TV star said during the Tuesday episode of her podcast, “Let’s Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari.” “It’s not because of love lost or something bad happened.”

She said Estes, known for his thirst trap TikToks, didn’t do anything wrong and has been “so sweet and so supportive.”

“He’s been the best boyfriend I’ve ever had,” she said. “I just know long term he needs to experience life. He’s young. I started to feel the age a little bit just with life experience.”

The two went public with their relationship in February. Cavallari first announced the split during a live recording on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast over the weekend.

Earlier this month, Estes was a guest on Cavallari’s podcast and agreed with her that they’d had the best sex with each other.

On the Tuesday episode of her podcast, Cavallari said she’d reflected on how much life she’s experienced since she was 24, calling those years “crucial” and “formative.”

The breakup isn’t a “bad thing,” she said.

“I really look at our relationship as such a beautiful relationship,” she continued. “Probably the best relationship of my life, quite honestly. It was very healthy and very mature and it was nothing but sweet and loving. And Mark is a really good guy.”

She said that one day, Estes will look back on their breakup and “understand it” and thank her.

“I don’t regret anything,” she said. “I don’t regret going public with him. I don’t regret introducing him to my kids. I don’t regret anything. I really don’t. It was such a good, happy relationship.”

Cavallari said she is “optimistic” that she and Estes will remain friends. She began tearing up and said she would love to have him in her life “in some capacity.”
