Krispy Kreme Is Bringing Back 2 Fan Favorites Just in Time for Fall

They’re a classic pair.

If you’re over summer already—the heat, storms, high energy bills—you’re probably dreaming of fall and all that comes with it. In the food world, that means pumpkin spice everything. Your favorite food brands know that, and that’s why they start to roll out pumpkin spice season in mid-August—so you can take a bite (or a sip) of that fall flavor and, for just a moment, close your eyes and pretend it’s a perfect 65 degrees outside.

It’s already happening. Dunkin’ just released a boozy, canned Pumpkin Spiced Latte. Frosted Pumpkin Pie Pop-Tarts are showing up on store shelves. Dolly Parton has added to her line of baking mixes with a Pumpkin Spice Cookie Mix. And now, Krispy Kreme is adding to your fantasies of an early fall with the return of two of its most popular pumpkin spice treats.

Krispy Kreme's Returning Pumpkin Spiced Cake Doughnut and Latte

This time last year, Krispy Kreme launched two new fall doughnuts that joined two of their existing fall flavors to create a quartet of pumpkin spice yumminess served up four different ways with the new Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Swirl Doughnut, new Pumpkin Spice Maple Pecan Doughnut, returning Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed Doughnut and returning Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut.

This year, the bakery is taking the fall rollout a little slower. On Aug. 12, Krispy Kreme lovers can get their pumpkin spice fix with the return of the fan-favorite Pumpkin Spiced Cake Doughnut, which is glazed, old-fashioned, and the perfect combination of crumbly cake and pumpkin spice flavor. Accompanying the return of the sweet treat is the made-fresh-to-order classic Pumpkin Spice Latte, available hot, iced, or frozen and topped with whipped cream and pumpkin spice seasoning.

If you're worried that these two pumpkin spice treats are Krispy Kreme's only fall offerings, don't be.

"It's August and we're all ready for pumpkin spice, somehow. So, we're bringing back the classics you're craving," said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme's global chief brand officer. "Our fans want their Krispy Kreme Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut and Latte right now, and we're here for it. Stay tuned though, we're not done spicing up the season."

As you're waiting for the announcement of the rest of Krispy Kreme's fall lineup to drop—along with the fall lineups of all your favorite coffee chains, bakeries, and fast food joints—you can get a jump on fall with the Pumpkin Spiced Cake Doughnut and the Pumpkin Spice Latte at participating Krispy Kreme shops for a limited time. You can also find the doughnuts at select retail stores in a six-pack delivered fresh daily.
