Korean Drama ‘Bad Guys’ Set For Indonesian Adaptation With Vidio, BASE Entertainment & CJ ENM Hong Kong

Korean action drama Bad Guys, which first aired in 2014, is set for an Indonesian adaptation.

Marking a collaboration between Vidio, Base Entertainment and CJ ENM Hong Kong, the Indonesian adaptation of Bad Guys will star Afrian Arisandy (Nightmares and Daydreams), Oka Antara (The Raid 2), Dwi Sasono (Andragogy), Randy Pangalila (Qodrat), Maudy Effrosina, and Omara Esteghlal.

Set to air as one of Vidio’s tentpoles on the platform in 2025, Bad Guys follows a desperate police officer who is determined to solve his daughter’s murder and apprehend a serial killer by recruiting a team of convicts.

Bad Guys has boarded head writer, Ambaridzki Ramadhantyo, whose credits include Respati and Netflix’s Cigarette Girl. Ferry Pei Irawan (Ghost Island) and William Chandra (Cult) will direct the series.

The 10-episode series will be primarily shot in Jakarta, Cibubur, and Bogor.

The original Korean series starred Kim Sang-joong, Park Hae-jin, Ma Dong-seok, Jo Dong-hyuk and Kang Ye-won and aired on OCN, which is owned by CJ ENM.
