All About Chock Chapple From 'The Golden Bachelor'ABC

There are few things we can count on in these uncertain times, and the list is basically: The Golden Bachelorette. And that's it, end of list. Did we expect to spend our Wednesday nights weeping at wholesome old men sharing bunk beds together? No, but here we are.

While all of Joan Vassos contestants are winners (other than Gil Ramirez who turns out to have a restraining order against him), we're here to talk about Chock Chapple, man who showed up on night one with a jar full of "chock-a-noodle" soup. Chock also declared himself "lonely" and seems to spend a lot of time with his dog, so obviously we are extremely invested in him finding love. And judging from how much fun he and Joan had during their Disneyland date (minus when R2D2 got super horny and made it weird), his future with Joan sure looks promising.

On that note, here's everything you need to know about Chock, including spoilers all the way at the bottom.

Chock Is a Midwest Business Owner

There's a reason this man is so nice! 60-year-old Chock is from none other than Wichita, Kansas, where he works as an insurance executive. "Executive" definitely sounds promising, so congrats Chock!

Anyway, here's a photo from the "about" section of his website (it's since been deleted), sourced by Bachelor Nation spoiler sleuth Reality Steve:

He Has Adult Kids

Chock has children with his ex-wife (fun fact: his 24-year-old daughter signed him up for The Golden Bachelorette), but these days he mostly hangs with his dog "Super Tubbs." To be clear, he doesn't go by Tubbs, only Super Tubbs. As for Chock's ex-wife, he told Joan they're on good terms and she's a "good person" whom he wants nothing but the best for.

By the way, Chock is also incredibly close to his mom (he calls her his "hero"), who encouraged him to go on the show.

His Fiancée Tragically Passed Away

After splitting from his wife, Chock dated and fell in love with a woman named Cathy, who he spent nine happy years with before she was diagnosed with brain cancer and died just five months later in Chock's arms. Before she passed, Cathy told Chock to "go on with your life," which he told Joan was "one of the biggest reasons I'm here."

As a reminder, Joan's husband tragically passed away from cancer, and she and Chock have already been able to bond through this highly emotional shared experience.

Chock Knows What He's Looking for

Per good ol' ABC, "Chock truly believes love can be found at any age and is enthusiastic about finding that spark again. He’s hoping this is his moment to meet the adventurous, compassionate woman he’s been looking for."

He Has Some Truly Fun ~Fun Facts~

Apparently Chock's "guilty pleasure is shopping," which sounds great as long as he's buying Joan gifts and/or getting ingredients for his chock-a-noodle soup. He's also a "self-proclaimed grill master," "once went nighttime shark diving in Australia," and "hopes that Chevy Camaros with T-tops make a comeback."

On that note, we've officially reached the spoiler portion of our time together, so proceed with caution....

CHOCK WINS!

That's correct, this man wins The Golden Bachelorette! At least according to Reality Steve, who revealed Chock and Joan are together...though TBD on if they left the show engaged. Guess we'll have to keep watching (which will not be a problem).
