You'll need to be quick to snap up some of these Kmart items for your Christmas decorating!
If you're looking to decorate your home this festive season, don't just stop at the Christmas sections of your favourite shops like Kmart, Target and Bunnings because you never know where inspiration might strike! Aussie DIY expert and stylist Cheryl, from @ourcountrycoastalhome, has revealed that the camping section had a hidden gem that has become a large part of her outdoor Christmas set-up.
Cheryl used Kmart's $12 2-Pack Solar Outdoor Stakes to add a magical touch to her festive backyard display, telling Yahoo Lifestyle that one of her favourite parts about the lights is their easy installation.
"The Kmart $12 solar outdoor stakes are just easy to install and give a really cute vibe at night, it kind of feels like being surrounded by fireflies," she tells us. "They just give a different look rather than the traditional fairy lights."
Cheryl also explained how she came across the budget festive lights saying, "Now that people have discovered this product, these should definitely be added to the Christmas section of the store. I was actually looking at a budget tent light in the camping section and came across these.
"Sometimes what you need is not necessarily where you think they would be in store."

Cheryl shared her incredible Bunnings DIY set-up that involved using stencils to cut shapes out of plywood for reindeer and trees, which she backlit with fairy lights to give a magical glow.
She wrote, "One thing I’m learning so far is that you don’t need to spend a fortune to create something beautiful for Christmas 🥰. I came across this DIY idea a few years ago and have always wanted to give it a go! Not sure what took me so long but I’m so glad I finally got to it .. it really creates a magical effect in our front yard."
She continued, "Paired up with a variety of affordable fairy lights from @bunnings, I’m absolutely loving how it’s looking so far, and that’s only the start of it."
Bunnings items also perfect for DIY Christmas display
She told Yahoo Lifestyle that while she loves the look that the $12 Kmart lights give, she also really loves Bunnings' range of solar fairy lights.
"You can have such a magical effect with the different styles and colours they have," she said. "The icicle lights on our gutters are very pretty too but keep in mind that they need to be plugged in."

Speaking about the inspiration for her DIY set-up, Cheryl added, "I came across this DIY on Pinterest a few years ago and have saved it since. I really wanted this year to be a special one for Christmas so thought I would get onto it. No regrets, as I absolutely love the way it has turned out."
However, you might want a bit of practice if you've never done this type of DIY before, "You do need a bit of experience to use a plunge router but nothing you can’t learn by watching YouTube videos and everybody needs to start somewhere. I think little Christmas DIYs like these are a great way to start learning how to use power tools."
