Kmart fans 'obsessed' with versatile new camping item: 'We need this'

Kmart fans are obsessed with a camping item that's "fantastic for the price" and is even great for those who aren't-so-happy campers. The 8 Person Bell Tent is perfect for glamping, with many people also sharing that they have used them for children's slumber parties with great success.

According to the Kmart website, the tent features "3 side windows and 3 top ventilation caps for better airflow", it is also "water-resistant" and offers UVE 95 per cent protection. The description reads, "Spacious enough to fit eight people, this Bell Tent will provide shelter during camping and hiking in the outdoors."

TikToker 'obsessed' with Kmart's glamping tent

Camper and content creator @maddybockett has shared several videos of the tent, saying she is "obsessed" with it. She shared a video of her setting up the tent, which she did by herself, but added that she'd "recommend doing it with two people" as it was "kind of difficult".

However, once it was set up and she added a small rug, a chair and table, she loved it. She also shared that the second time she set it up by herself it was easier.

Maddy did set it up for an overnight stay while it was raining and shared with her followers, "The glamping tent surprisingly held up really well in the wet weather, but it's water resistant, not waterproof, so keep that in mind."

In yet another video, Maddy set up the tent for "ultimate galentine's movie night," revealing she set up the tent in her backyard and brought a projector that she used to watch movies inside the tent.

Kmart's 8-person tent is perfect for non-campers

Other Kmart fans have shared their thoughts on the tent, with one commenting on Maddy's TikTok, "Okaaaay, this is like the ideal festival set up... but with two people, not eight, get out of my tent."

Maddy appeared to agree, writing, "Honestly, it would only fit eight people if we all lay next to each other like sausages."

"I bought two so my son's year 6 class could sleepover at the end of the year," another said. "Had two huge storms and was surprisingly dry! Just make sure you peg it out right."

"Slept five of use last night with HEAPS of room," a third shared.

On Facebook, many others shared that they had used the tent for sleepovers, with some users tagging their friends and partners saying, "I'd camp in this."

"I might consider going camping if I slept in this," another said.
